Arlington Hall at Turtle Creek Park

Located in the Turtle Creek area of Uptown Dallas sits the gorgeous Arlington Hall, just minutes from Downtown. Built in 1939 it is heralded as a Texas Landmark, and has been host to thousands upon thousands of events ever since. It is an extremely popular venue for weddings, but is an absolutely stunning location for engagement photos as well. The entire space is extremely versatile but the outdoors scream luxury with their white pillars and architecture.

Dallas Museum of Art

The Dallas Museum of Art is truly the heart of the Arts District in Downtown Dallas. It sits perfectly next to the Nasher Sculpture center (another beautiful photo location), and across from Klyde Warren Park. The streets there are lined with food trucks so that you can be photographed, awe at the beautiful art, and make sure you don't go hungry all at once. Inside and out this building is an artistic wonder and photographs better than most people give it credit. The Dallas Arts Association was organized in 1903 with exhibitions being in buildings all over Dallas from the Dallas Public Library, to the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts located in Fair Park, to the Majestic Theater for decades until the Dallas Museum of Art was officially opened to the public in 1984.

Mandalay Canal Walk at Las Colinas

The best hidden gem anyone could find. This spot is a 13 minute drive from Downtown Dallas but a really easy drive from 35 North to 114, but is also accessible from the DART's orange line. It's completely hidden from view no matter where you are driving from, including once you get into the area. If you blink while driving you will totally miss these gorgeous views. Once you get into this part of Las Colinas you will need to find yourself some legal parking (or make the easy walk from the DART train station) and walk down the stairs into the canal area. Since it is practically considered "underground" for many locals this is what keeps it so out of site from street level. The entire area is about a 3 mile walk and is lined with hotels and restaurants that make this Italian feel come alive, including gondolas that encourage you to kiss under every bridge you encounter. For a slice of Venice in the middle of Texas this is THE spot to get your engagement photos done!
